Restaurateur Sarah Schneider’s eclectic Clarkston home reflects her bohemian sensibility with décor from across the globe. When she opened The Fed in 2017, the all-day eatery also in Clarkston became an extension of her personal residence. “I wanted the space to feel like you couldn’t put your finger on what it was,” she says. “And that’s how I feel about our home.”

Schneider purchased pendants made in Afghanistan, chairs from Malawi, and rugs from Morocco, and turned to vintage retailers to customize the woven rattan bar stools. “I had searched so long for bar stools because I wanted something others didn’t have. That’s why I went vintage. These really came together at the last minute.”
