The Fredi the PizzaMan Foundation is collaborating with Born In Detroit to launch an exclusive apparel line for Autism Awareness throughout Michigan. The collaborative apparel is now available online for a limited time, through April 22.

The clothing line features a variety of options for adults and children including t-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, hats, long-sleeved crewnecks, and an exclusive apron. The apparel is decorated with Fredi the PizzaMan and Born In Detroit logos along with colorful art for Autism Awareness Month.

Prices for this apparel line range from $19.99 for t-shirts to $44.99 for hoodies. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Fredi the PizzaMan Foundation, which was founded by Fredi Bello “The PizzaMan” in 2016 with inspiration from his son, who has autism. The foundation’s mission is to create autism acceptance and honor autism spectrum disorder teachers for their excellent work with children.

The Fredi the PizzaMan Foundation provides sensory rooms in Michigan schools and other public places. The foundation has supported over 85 schools throughout Michigan as well as some significant arenas, including Ford Field and the Breslin Center at Michigan State University in East Lansing. Since its founding, the foundation has provided nearly $130,000 in sensory equipment and scholarships, which has been made possible by donations and fundraisers like these.

In addition, the Fredi the PizzaMan Foundation has raised hundreds of dollars for schools like Allen Learning Academy in Plymouth, North Hill Elementary School in Rochester Hills, Taft-Galloway Elementary School in Wayne, and more — going as far as Kalkaska and Boyne City Schools.

Born In Detroit was brought to life in 2020 with a mission to showcase the pride of Detroiters near and far and to establish a brand partner to champion the city and surrounding communities. Born In Detroit has a pop-up shop on Woodward Ave. in downtown Detroit ahead of the NFL Draft. The shop is open through April 30.
