What started off as an idea to build one of the largest garage communities in the world expanded to something that the public can visit via shows and activations that tantalize the senses. 255 garages later, an 87-acre epicenter of automotive activity was built and named M1 Concourse. About a decade later, M1 built a 28,500-square-foot state-of-the-art event center to host large conferences and intimate parties all year long, offering a track experience with each conference or event activation – something unlike any other space.
Individually owned garages range from spaces of 500 to 5,000 square feet, each custom-designed to fit their owners’ wants and needs. “Man Cave,” “Social Destination,” or simply “Workshop” are some of the common phrases associated with these diverse spaces that share one common trait: the love for the automobile. With everything from classic to modern and exotic cars, the property is full of rare and unique vehicles that truly show the passion of its members.
What good are the cars if there isn’t space to run them? M1 Concourse’s 1.5-mile performance circuit is the best place to unleash the horsepower under the hood. The track space features 11 turns, 30 feet of elevation change, and a center arena for autocross and drifting. The one-third mile back-straight allows high-performance vehicles to reach speeds upwards of 125 miles per hour. However, track activations aren’t limited to performance driving. The circuit can host a variety of events, from defensive driving schools to vehicle reviews, and an unforgettable track experience with one of our professional drivers. You know, the kind that is sure to sit you back in your seat, increasing the spectacular of G-forces as you twist through the track.
Once you leave the car, grinning larger than the Cheshire Cat, you stumble upon gaggles of rare rides and custom finds across each corner of the property. That’s right, during any number of our car shows and events, you can’t walk more than 100 steps without stopping in awe of the beauty, which, according to consensus, is not just in the eye of the beholder. Each car, deserving 20 snapshots or more, will ensure you leave with a hearty new photo album.
If you’re looking for a reason to celebrate car culture, a fine photo op is only steps away on the 18th and 19th days of August when M1 Concourse hosts Woodward Dream Show. Look no further than the Corvette Anniversary Exhibit where they’ll honor 70 years of Corvette with 70 Corvettes on-site: one from every production year! Each Corvette will line up on the M1 Concourse Plaza near the event center for this one-day, once-in-a-lifetime photo opportunity on Friday, August 18, 2023. See every Corvette, including the 1983 Corvette of which there is only one model existing in the world, brought up for this event thanks to the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY.
Parked cars are always nice to see but any enthusiast will tell you that style is only one component of every car – the other being: speed. The best way to see both is at American Speed Festival. This event combines some of the most renowned brands in automotive performance history, in everything from vintage Indy cars to historic stock cars, and modern-day supercars. It’s a rare opportunity to see race cars from every era fly by on the 1.5-mile M1 Concourse Speed Ring. And if you’re really into festival themes, take note of the 2023 celebrations: 100 years of Americans at Le Mans, 70 years of Corvette, and 50 years of IROC Series. There are decades of rich history and longevity in this multi-day festival.
For an 87-acre plot of land that once built the first truck (Rapid Motor Co.), M1 Concourse is a space that shines with significance and rich automotive heritage.
