On behalf of the Downtown Detroit Partnership (DDP), its Board of Directors, Team and all those who help create a vibrant Downtown Detroit, you are invited to join DDP’s Centennial Celebration in the spectacular Campus Martius Park on Wednesday, August 24.
For 100 years, the DDP has brought leaders together from near and far to cultivate economic and social impact in Downtown Detroit by connecting public, private and philanthropic sectors, providing stewardship of public spaces and developing programs that engage and benefit all. Moreover, we are proud to host residents and visitors from around the region and world at holiday celebrations like the Annual Detroit Tree Lighting and Light Up Beacon Park and offer robust and free summer programming in all seven DDP-managed and operated parks.
The Downtown Detroit Partnership started on October 2, 1922 with the formation of the Business Property Association. Throughout the decades, we have been fortunate to have some of the most prestigious leaders in the state not only serve on this organization’s Board but support strategic investments and initiatives in Downtown Detroit. One of these initiatives is the Downtown Detroit Business Improvement Zone (BIZ). The BIZ is a special assessed district that was established in 2014 and through the investment of property owners Downtown, the BIZ aims to enhance our clean, safe and welcoming Downtown initiatives.
On Wednesday, August 24, we will honor their leadership in support of DDP’s century-long service to Detroit along with the unwavering commitment we have today from business, philanthropic, civic and community leaders.
Compliments of award-winning Parc restaurant, attendees can enjoy some of the city’s most renowned food selections accompanied by a open bar and a signature anniversary cocktail.
It wouldn’t be a celebration without great entertainment. Attendees will experience the sounds from 313 Live Experience, featuring a wide range of musical influences, including jazz, R&B, and hip-hop. DJ Thornstryker, the Detroit Pistons’ official DJ, will also be there to spin a range of great Detroit-inspired beats.
More than anything, we’re excited to share the joy of spending time with friends and colleagues on a summer night in this incredible city that we call home.
Thank you to our event sponsors for making the evening possible.
