Eisenhower Dance Detroit (EDD), Michigan’s premier contemporary dance company, is set to captivate audiences with its upcoming performance, “Depth Within,” on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at the Ford Theatre on the campus of Detroit School of Arts. The performance begins at 7:30 PM, with a public master class scheduled for that morning at 11:00 AM and a young professionals event, ConnectEDD, prior to the performance at 5:30pm. A Glimpse into “Depth Within”
“Depth Within” offers an introspective journey into the complexities of human experience, featuring a diverse repertoire that blends the talents of EDD’s dancers with the creative visions of acclaimed choreographers. The program includes:
- “Pink”: Choreographed by Joshua Peugh, this piece is a vibrant exploration of nostalgia and identity, infusing playful movements with deep emotional undertones.
- “Two Forward, One Back”: Created by EDD’s founder, Laurie Eisenhower, this mesmerizing work delves into themes of perseverance and progress, combining rhythmic intricacy with fluid athleticism.
- “Paradigm”: Choreographed by Baira, this immersive piece challenges perceptions of space and time, offering audiences a visceral and thought-provoking experience.
- World Premiere by Artistic Director, Stephanie Pizzo: Pizzo introduces a bold new work that invites reflection on the unseen forces shaping our inner landscapes, characterized by intricate partnering and dynamic physicality.
ConnectEDD: A Young Professionals Networking Experience

Before the show, join us for ConnectEDD, a night of networking and creativity.
