Back for the 18th year, the Troy Traffic Jam will host a blockbuster lineup of feature vehicles, the Gallagher Tech Talk Series, and additional activities that will make this year’s event one of southeast Michigan’s premier car shows. On Sunday, August 2nd, from 9am – 3pm the Troy Traffic Jam will celebrate AMERICA’S ANNIVERSARY with a museum quality selection of iconic American cars, cars with patriotic themes, and historic military vehicles, among other feature vehicles and cars from local hobbyists and collectors. The Troy Traffic Jam is more than just a car show with automotive art, racing simulators, robotics demonstrations, food, music, and a kids pedal car race all in one jam-packed day.

This year’s Gallagher Tech Talks Series will feature engineers and designers from both Corvette and Ford. In addition to these great programs, a panel including Kelly Collins and Gary Claudio will discuss racing legend Dale Ernhardt Sr. 25 years after his tragic death. Kelly will share behind the scenes stories from the 2001 24 Hours of Daytona race team that included Ernhardt, and attendees will see the famous No 3 Corvette C5-R, built by Pratt & Miller for the race and on loan from the National Corvette Museum. Our fourth Tech Talk will feature two other racing legends: David Hobbs and Roger Bailey. As friends on and off the track, David and Roger will share their experiences and a few stories from their extensive careers. Talks will be moderated by Autoline’s John McElroy. You can keep up to date on the topics and the schedule through Facebook & Instagram (@TroyTrafficJam), or by signing up for the TTJ email list (www.TroyTrafficJam.com).

The 2026 Troy Traffic Jam include more than 300 cars from antiques to high performance vehicles.

Registration is now open! Come join the lineup of more than 300 cars from antiques to high performance vehicles. With this year’s theme, you can expect your car to be in a show among a collection of cars that built America like the 1908 Ford Model T, 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air, and 1964 Pontiac GTO, as well as other cars that capture the innovation and spirit of the American auto industry. There will also be plenty of red, white, and blue featured including a 1972 Ford Mustang celebrating America in the Olympics. New for our 18th year, historic military vehicles from across several eras will be provided by members of the Military Vehicles Operator Club of Michigan. The Detroit Historical Society, Pontiac Transportation Museum, and several private collectors will provide rarely seen feature cars again this year.
