As we head into another winter in the Great Lakes State, there are fewer reasons than ever to go outside – and Eaze just gave us another excuse to stay cozy at home.
The country’s largest cannabis delivery company, Eaze, recently expanded its operations to Michigan to bring beloved local brands – and some new California-based brands – right to your doorstep. That means Detroit, Ann Arbor and Grand Rapids residents don’t have to trek to the dispensary to get their favorite THC and CBD products anymore.
One of the first brands on Eaze’s menu is beloved Detroit Lions alumni Calvin “Megatron” Johnson and Rob Sims’s cannabis brand, Primitiv.
Some of the other made-in-Michigan brands you’ll see on Eaze include Cannalicious Labs, Fluresh, Common Citizen, Terpene Tanks, MKX, and Viola. Availability may vary by your address.
Eaze’s mission is to deliver good with the goods, an approach that embodies the company’s commitment to social impact.
In addition to a Compassionate Care program across California that brings free medical cannabis to low-income patients, and a Social Equity menu that supports social equity license holders in California, Eaze is home to an award-winning BIPOC business accelerator program, Momentum.
Momentum’s mission is to support and empower underrepresented founders and help build a diverse industry. The program addresses the War on Drugs while helping small businesses in becoming more profitable and sustainable.
Detroit native Tre Hobbs’ cannabis brand, Neighborhood Essentials, was one of 10 selected companies for Eaze’s 2021 Momentum business accelerator class, which includes a 12-week business development program.
Each member of Momentum receives a $50,000 grant, participates in a 12-week curriculum led by industry experts, and gains access to an extensive business development, marketing, and retailer resources. Eaze takes no equity in participants’ businesses, distinguishing it from many other accelerators and programs available to underrepresented entrepreneurs. At Momentum’s conclusion, participants pitch to industry-defining cannabis investors for the opportunity to raise additional funds. Applications for the 2022 class are still open and can apply here.
“Neighborhood Essentials is the voice that will bridge the gap between the legacy and legal markets,” Hobbs told the Detroit MetroTimes earlier this year.
