Recently, Virginia Tile announced they will be opening a new flagship location on West Maple Street in Troy, Michigan. To better serve their customer base, the company will be consolidating their contractor-focused Sterling Heights location and design showroom on 19 Mile Road in the Michigan Design Center and transitioning customers to their new “all in one” space.
The 45,000+ square foot facility will be home to Virginia Tile’s state-of-the-art showroom and exclusive contractor lounge in addition to ample office space and a fully stocked warehouse.
Virginia Tile’s decision to combine both their showroom and distribution center allows them to provide a premium experience for their valued customers. From contractors to consumers, Virginia Tile’s new building will cater to all.
Sean Cilona, Director of Product & Marketing noted, “With the opening of this new location, we are changing our strategy – focusing more on contractors to give them a better experience and access to the industry’s most high-end products.”
Two key aspects of Virginia Tile’s new strategy are their “Will Call” service and contractor lounge. The “Will Call” service will allow for fast and convenient pick up of products and project materials. When contractors stop by the new location to pick up their materials, they can also enjoy Virginia Tile’s new contractor lounge. Complete with complementary beverages and snacks, the lounge provides space for contractors to catch up on emails, plan their projects, and check out Virginia Tile’s latest product demos.
“We’re bringing a premium tile and stone experience to the Troy design community.” Cilona said. “Serving customers in all 13 states we cover; this building will be our biggest and most well-thought-out location yet.”
As Virginia Tile puts together the finishing touches, they are preparing for a soft opening mid-to-late summer with a grand opening to follow in late fall.
