Whether you’re a fan of the game, the half-time show, the iconic commercials, or the bite-size party snacks, the Super Bowl — taking place this year on Feb. 7 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida — offers all kinds of fun. And if you’re in it to win big cash prizes, you’re covered, too. After a successful launch last year, Rocket Mortgage is bringing back its Super Bowl Squares Sweepstakes for 2021.
“…The Super Bowl is the place to pull out all the stops and plan one of the largest giveaways in all of sports,” says Jay Farner, CEO of Detroit-based Rocket Mortgage, in a press release. “Whether you are a huge football fan or there for the entertaining commercials, everyone is watching the game. Rocket Mortgage Super Bowl Squares gives Americans the chance to start the new year off right by winning big money, too!”
Part of a multi-year partnership between Rocket Mortgage and the NFL, the sweepstakes gives two participants the chance to win a $500,000 prize simply by registering. And for each scoring play — including touchdowns, field goals, extra points, two-point conversions, or safetys — the company will randomly select one winner from the corresponding square to win $50,000. Up to 30 of these prizes will be awarded.
Those who are interested in testing their luck can head to the sweepstakes’ website to select one of the 100 squares on the 10-by-10 grid for free. Participants are welcome to share a unique link to earn bonus squares.
Submissions must be in before midnight on Feb. 4. Then on Feb. 5 and 6, teams and random numbers will be assigned — one side of the grid will feature the last digits of the NFC champion’s score, and the other will feature the last digits of the AFC champion’s score. Participants are encouraged to print out the final grid to reference it throughout the game.
During last year’s Super Bowl, the sweepstakes awarded $1.75 million. “The excitement around last year’s Rocket Mortgage Super Bowl Squares eclipsed all expectations,” Farner says. “Beyond the thrill of the game, the grand prizes were life-changing for our winners.”
