The Ford Fireworks will light up the sky tonight a televised-only event. And while we wish that we could gather in downtown Detroit to see them in person, luckily, there’s still plenty of other ways to get your fireworks fix this year. Here’s a quick peek at shows happening around metro Detroit this month.
Stony Creek Fireworks
Lots of spectators are expected at this classic southeast Michigan event. While the show begins at dusk, consider arriving early to secure a prime viewing spot. Salute to America: Summer Stroll
Each day of Greenfield Village’s Salute to America: Summer Stroll will conclude with an exciting fireworks display. Tickets to the celebration also include performances by Detroit Symphony Orchestra chamber ensembles, historical performances, street food, and craft beer. $19.25+ for kids; $27.25+ for adults. Shelby Township Independence Day Fireworks
The Downtown Development Authority of Shelby Township will host its 2021 fireworks show at Ford Field Central Park. While the show won’t begin before dark, spectators can arrive early to kick off the festive evening with a food truck rally starting at 4 p.m. No cost for fireworks. 10 p.m. on July 1. Willow Metropark Fireworks

Red Run Fireworks
While this event is private for members of Red Run Golf Club, the display can also be viewed from neighboring Wagner Park. Kensington Metropark Fireworks

White Lake Citizens League Fireworks

The Oakland County Fair
This annual event will host a fireworks show on its opening day. Prior to the display, enjoy entertainment from the Grant Reiff band and the crowning of the 2021 Oakland County Fair Royalty. Cars Under the Stars Fireworks Spectacular
Later this month, M1 Concourse in Pontiac will hold its fourth annual Cars Under the Stars. The event will feature a fireworks show as well as food trucks, craft beer, and live music. $5-$45.
