After Magic of Lights’ success at DTE Energy Music Theatre last year — more than 250,000 guests attended the attraction during its 2020-21 run —, the dazzling drive-thru light show is coming back to the Clarkston venue for another season of holiday cheer.
Created using LED technology and digital animations, the show features holiday scenes and characters. As guests drive through the show, they can enjoy displays such as the Blizzard Tunnel, 12 Days of Christmas, Winter Wonderland, and The Night Before Christmas displays. New additions to this year’s event include a Prehistoric Christmas and Mega Tree display.

Magic of Lights opens on Nov. 19 and runs through Jan. 1. The experience’s hours will be from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., Sunday through Thursday, and 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
Tickets for the drive-thru show go on sale tomorrow at 10 a.m. Standard vehicle passes start at $20 and must be purchased online. Event organizers suggest purchasing tickets as early as possible as some dates are expected to sell out.
