313 Day, which is lovingly named after the iconic 313 area code, falls on March 13 every year and often features tons of events, specials, giveaways and more to honor and celebrate the Motor City. Here’s a sampling of what’s going on in Detroit on 313 Day in 2025.
What Up Doe? 313 Day
Paint a 16×20 canvas inspired by Detroit in celebration of 313 Day for $39. Bring your own snacks, beer, and wine. Advance registration is required. Ages 16 years and up only. 313 Day at the Riverfront
The Detroit River Conservancy and Raise The Flag Detroit are teaming up to offer an afternoon of music, comedy, and fun at Robert C. Valade Park. Beginning at 3:13 p.m., this free event offers music performances by The Prolifics, Al Bettis, Asclepius, T.O.A.M., and Mean Dean 313. Detroit Day Artist Market
Step into the vibrant world of Detroit creativity at this art market. Vendors will be displaying art, streetwear, toys, home goods, fashion, food, and more — all created in Detroit. This event also gives artists an opportunity to network with other creatives, models, videographers, stylists, photographers, designers, and more. Food trucks and interactive art installations, too. 313 Day Rising Detroit Star Concert

2nd Annual 313 Day Ride
Bring your bike, wear your favorite Detroit team’s gear, and take a ride down the Joe Louis Greenway with other biking enthusiasts in celebration of 313 Day. March 13. $10 registration. Meet up at 8034 W. Warren, Detroit; Eventbrite.com.
313 Day with Shinola Hotel
Shinola Hotel is celebrating 313 Day with local DJs and champagne in its lobby space, which is known as Detroit’s Living Room. Mister Dips and Penny Reds, two eateries associated with the hotel, are offering specials for just $3.13 that day, and The Brakeman will offer 3 drink tokens for $13. March 13. 313 Day with Mootz Pizzeria + Bar and Mezcal Mexican Restaurant
Both Mootz Pizzeria + Bar and Mezcal Mexican Restaurant will be offering food specials in celebration of 313 Day. At Mezcal, enjoy house margaritas for just $3.13 all day long, and over at Mootz, get a slice of pizza for $3.13. March 13. 313 Day Festival
This festivals spreads 313 Day fun across an entire weekend. Day one offers an R&B concert featuring Hunxho and Loe Shimmy; day two features a hip-hop concert; and day three is a day of education with experts in a variety of sectors including entertainment and small business.
