Glenlore Trails has announced the return of its popular winter walk-thru “Aurora,” which will open for the season this Friday, Nov. 15, 2024, and will remain open every Thursday through Sunday, except major holidays, until Dec. 29.
Guests of this enchanted forest walk along a mile-long outdoor trail that is beautifully decorated with displays featuring more than half a million colorful lights and set to festive seasonal music.
This year, the trail will be reversed to experience a new perspective and a fresh adventure. Along your journey, you can uncover more of the holiday magic by purchasing a magic wand. Tapping the glowing ‘G’ symbols along the trail with a magic wand will reveal hidden wonders.
The trail is manicured, but not paved, and accessible to strollers, wagons, and wheelchairs.
In addition to the walk-thru display, “Aurora” will also offer interactive games, live storytelling, food trucks, and warm holiday beverages. Be sure to keep an eye out for special events on select nights including live holiday music performed by Ben Sharky on opening night; visits with Santa Dec. 13-15; and an extra special night for the kids on Nov. 17.
Kids will even get the chance to drop their letters in Santa’s personal mailbox, which is located at the ticket check-in.
Glenlore Trails is located at 3860 Newtown Road in Commerce Township. Tickets are $25 for ages 13-64, $20 for seniors, $15 for ages 4-12, and free for kids under 3.
Guests are asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to their ticked time. The trail will take approximately one hour to complete.
