On Dec. 2, 2023, more than 100 venues in Midtown Detroit and the Cultural Center will open their doors for this year’s Noel Night. The 49th annual holiday tradition kicks off at 5 p.m. and features a wide variety of activities that the entire family will enjoy.
Start your evening off with a free visit to one of your favorite educational spots including the College for Creative Studies, Detroit Public Library, the Detroit Institute of Arts, and Michigan Science Center, among others
The area’s art galleries, non-profit organizations, churches, and cultural institutions, along with area bars and restaurants, will also be open during the event.
In addition to the educational opportunities, Noel Night also features live music, art displays, dance performances and theater shows from over 80 area groups. Plus, family crafts, yuletide treats, holiday shopping with a number of pop-ups from area businesses, visits with Santa, and much more.

“Noel Night has become a beloved tradition that celebrates the magic of the holiday season and showcases the incredible array of small, unique businesses, restaurants, bars, and Cultural Center institutions that make our city truly exceptional. This event not only illuminates the spirit of the season but also highlights the diverse and thriving community that defines Detroit. It’s a testament to the resilience, creativity, and togetherness that make our city shine.”
Noel Night runs 5-9 p.m. at the venues north of Warren Ave. and 5-10 p.m.at the venues south of Warren Ave. Admission to the event is free, but fees may apply for some activities and will vary for items on sale.
