Shades of Pink Foundation’s “A Walk at the Zoo”
Shades of Pink Foundation's signature event welcomes walkers, survivors, sponsors and more to walk the Detroit Zoo, while raising funds to provide temporary financial assistance for breast cancer patients and their families throughout Southeast Michigan, helping them navigate the devastating financial cost of a breast cancer diagnosis. These funds provide prompt funding for daily living expenses, like mortgage/rent, insurance payments, transportation costs, childcare and other essentials of daily life.

Shades of Pink Foundation's signature annual family-friendly "A Walk at the Zoo" is set amidst the scenic views of the Detroit Zoo. This year's event aims to bring together more than 3,000 participants to support those undergoing breast cancer treatment in Southeast Michigan by providing prompt funding for everyday living expenses while raising more than $500,000.
