The best nights out, some would say, always end with karaoke. Luckily, there’s plenty of ways to test your — potentially drunken — singing skills locally. Warm up your vocal cords and put on a performance to remember at these metro Detroit karaoke bars.

Punch Bowl Social

Punch Bowl Sunday is an epicenter for fun and games, and its karaoke is not to be missed. Find your groove in the restaurant’s private karaoke rooms at $35 an hour for 1-4 people, or $45 an hour for 5-10 people. Items off the restaurant’s eclectic menu can be sent straight to your room, such as Sriracha Peanut Fries, a Shrimp Burger, Chicken ‘N Waffles, and, of course, plenty of strong cocktails. Punch Bowl Social, 1331 Broadway St., Detroit; 313-749-9738; punchbowlsocial.com

Madison Club

If you’re looking for karaoke in a no-pressure, laid-back bar scene, Madison Club has you covered three nights a week. Wednesdays at 10:00 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays starting at 9:00 p.m., you can expect to see Pat, who runs karaoke, commanding the stage with songs of her own, while keeping the order of the rotating list of eager singers. While you’re deciding which songs to sing from their catalog, take advantage of the food menu and daily drink specials: $1.50 pints on Wednesdays, clearance PBR on Fridays, and Saturday specials are chosen at the bartender’s discretion. Madison Club, 32275 Stephenson Hwy., Madison Heights; 248-588-4433

McShane’s Irish Pub

McShane’s delivers when it comes to billiards, darts, other bar games, and most importantly, karaoke. Order up some of McShane’s exclusives like Angry Drunken Mussels, Bourbon Smoked Salmon Spread, or the half-pound Corktown burger. Karaoke Nights take place at 9:00 p.m. every Monday. If you’re even braver, bring your own instruments and original material to McShane’s Open Mic Nights at 9:00 p.m. on Wednesdays. McShane’s Corktown, 1460 Michigan Ave., Detroit; 313-961-1960; mcshanespub.com

168 KTV

168 KTV is for those who take their karaoke seriously, or those just looking to have fun with a large group of friends. The space, which also operates as a restaurant and bar, accommodates groups of 12-28 people, and offer package deals of rooms and drink/food combinations, and bottle service. Choose from five large sushi platters to split with your group, or individual portions of American and Asian cuisine like tempura shrimp, fried rice, fried chicken wings, and more. 168 KTV, 32415 John R Rd., Madison Heights; 248-616-0168; 168karaoke.com

Sneakers Pub

Sneakers Pub has been a local Ferndale watering hole for over 30 years, and the crowds keep on coming. With over 50 beers, rotating drafts, jello shots, and moonshine to wash down the Sneaker Burgers, pierogis, and Sneakers Corndogs, why would you stop? Especially on Thursday, Fridays, and Saturdays, which are the bar’s karaoke nights starting at 9:00 p.m. Sneaker’s Pub, 22628 Woodward Ave., Ferndale; 248-545-8243; sneakerspubferndale.com

Sid Gold’s Request Room

Sid Gold’s Request Room offers an intimate karaoke experience out of the Siren Hotel in downtown Detroit. Because you’re accompanied by a live pianist at this bar — rather than taking your cues from a dancing music note on a digital karaoke box screen — it may feel like the pressure to perform is on. But don’t worry. Sid Gold’s has you covered with plenty of stiff drinks, like the La Bamba. Sid Gold’s Request Room, 1511 Broadway St., Detroit; 313-444-4653; sidgolds.com
