In 2012, Dr. Kathleen Gilmore went from being an employee to a business owner, and she hasn’t looked back.
“It’s been a busy and exciting time, working and building a business and building clientele,” says Dr. Gilmore, an Ann Arbor-based physician, a pioneer in ultrasound technology, and the founder of Procerus Skin Care.
Born and raised in Detroit and a graduate of the Wayne State University School of Medicine, Dr. Gilmore says she started her business because she was passionate about bringing the latest and the best in cutting-edge technology for the face and body to metro Detroit residents. She also introduced the revolutionary body treatment, EMSCULPT, to the Detroit market.
Dr. Gilmore was involved in conducting research for two early laser devices in 2005 and 2006, and has also been a frequent contributor to and consultant for a national publication.
With her extensive background in cosmetic laser devices, Dr. Gilmore has developed protocols for laser hair removal and laser skin rejuvenation, and she’s explored novel devices for cellulite treatment and body-contouring that have made treatment delivery safe and effective.
“My business is about love and passion. I’m passionate about my clients and my work, and I absolutely love what I do. I also love working (with my team) to bring our clients exceptional service and services,” says Dr. Gilmore, whose premier medical spa offers a variety of solutions for those who want to combat the signs of aging or reduce unsightly bulges.
Procerus Skin Care integrates aesthetic, noninvasive cosmetic laser treatments and minimally invasive injectables, such as Botox and Juvederm, with medical-grade skin care products in a proven, effective, and individualized manner. Dr. Gilmore looks forward to sharing her experience and expertise with body technologies and EMSCULPT to more people as she further expands into the vibrant Detroit market.
