Profile
Linda Eriksen grew up in Grosse Pointe, Michigan (where she felt she never quite fit in), and graduated from the University of Michigan (where she didn’t fit in either). She spent a few years after college working (slaving away) as a licensed broker for the company who coined the tagline, “When EF Hutton talks, people listen”.
Linda traded in her investment career to be a (much-abused under-appreciated) full-time mother. She gave birth to those four healthy, spirited children in the drawn-out (haha) span of 4.5 years. Her “office” for this lifelong (and most rewarding) role were two different homes on the same street—and block, in Birmingham, Michigan (where she did feel she fit in).
Linda’s passion for real estate started just before the birth of her first child, feeling the exhilaration of negotiating the purchase of their first family home (husband was surprised when he returned from his canoeing trip…no cell phones in 1987). After several years of being co-owner and co-founder of the interior design firm, Chester Pierce Design, Inc., Linda took her passion for homes and her business experience to the next level and in 2002 became a Realtor with the Birmingham boutique firm, SKBK Sotheby’s International Realty (thank goodness for the psychology degree).
After 12 rewarding and successful years there, her new office at Max Broock Realtors (#1 office in the state) has a beautiful view of downtown Birmingham (where she feels elated daily). Linda now lives in Royal Oak and spends as much time as possible with her four grown children—(who now think she’s a genius, great cook, and wine expert)!
