Nestled in the heart of downtown Birmingham, just a 20-minute drive from downtown Detroit, Margot has made it her life’s work to offer the very best to her clients. Founded in 1980, Margot European Day Spa began as a small, two-room facility. Prior to incorporating, Margot rented facial rooms in two of Heidi hair salons located in Southfield and Bloomfield Hills, as well as Loizon Salon, then located on Park Street in Birmingham.

Spanning over four decades and three generations of clientele, today the spa is her full-time passion, boasting 17 treatment rooms and 24 employees, serving both locals and global travelers.

Inside the upscale Townsend Street spa, you will immediately escape the urban pressure and begin to take in the aromatic scents, and warm and friendly staff who’s number one priority is to accommodate your every spa need. The traditional European décor has been re-created and includes a prestigious private event space to gather for corporate retreats, bridal and birthday celebrations or just a well- deserved gratitude gathering of friends and family.

The spa provides services ranging from detoxifying body wraps, advanced facial treatments, medical grade hydrotherapy, oncology spa services, body massage, lymphatic body and face treatments and complete nail care. Under the direction of Dr. Scott Friedman, such Medi-Spa services as laser hair removal, Venus Legacy® and Venus Versa treatments, HydraFacial®, Diamond Tome ™ Microdermabrasion and Dermaplaning treatments are offered.

Margot is very proud to have introduced PHYTOMER products and treatments to Michigan over 30 years ago. Over the past 50 years, the PHYTOMER research and development teams have identified the most active marine ingredients and are inventing the skincare of the future. Scientific innovation at the highest level, Margot annually revisits the PHYTOMER Labs on the Brittany Coast of France to be updated on the most recent, innovated skin and body products and treatments. Only PHYTOMER products have been physician approved to use in the oncology spa services.

As one of the top estheticians in her native country of Germany, Margot graduated at the top of her Aesthetics program in Hannover Germany. She remains passionate about educating both staff and clients, learning from the spa industries leading international educators, she has earned specialized diplomas from France, Germany, Monte Carlo, Great Britain, and Japan. Continuous education is offered to the entire staff each year, so they may share the knowledge with clients seeking proper home care regimens. The entire staff at Margot’s is licensed in the state of Michigan, most earning additional National Certifications and attending both on-site and off-site advanced courses to further their education.

Conveniently located in downtown Birmingham at 101 Townsend Street, on the corner of Pierce and Townsend, one block west of Old Woodward and across from the Townsend Hotel. Parking is easily found to the east of our building in the Pierce Street parking structure.
