Filson, which specializes in clothing and gear that can withstand different types of weather, opened the doors to its first Michigan store within Shinola’s downtown Detroit location on Sept. 19.
The opening of the 1,130 square foot store is right on time for the brand’s recent launch of their women’s debut collection, which features versatile pieces that can seamlessly transition from urban settings to outdoor escapades. Some items you’ll come across include wool overshirts, classic button-ups, and a variety of bags for different occasions.
They also offer different types of men’s outerwear, from rain jackets to camp shirts and insulated jackets, some of which have been seen on big-name celebrities, including Chris Stapleton, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Ryan Reynolds.
Aside from clothing, customers can also find different types of outdoor accessories, like travel kits, knives and tools, and even items for your dog, like a leather leash or nylon collar.
The store’s regular hours are Monday – Saturday from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. -5 p.m.
