Gorjana, a Southern California jewelry brand, has announced it will open its first store in Michigan on June 12 at Somerset Collection, introducing its effortless and laid-back styles designed with diamonds, opals, sapphires, and more to metro Detroit.

“We are thrilled that Gorjana has chosen Somerset Collection to establish its first presence in Michigan,” said Andrew Forbes, vice president of leasing at The Forbes Company, the developer of Somerset Collection. “From its Southern California roots to an expansive national presence, Gorjana has secured a strong position in the jewelry industry. We are looking forward to welcoming Gorjana to the Michigan market and offering our guests the opportunity to experience this exceptional, charitable and growing brand.”

Shoppers will find the 900-square-foot store on Somerset Collection North, level one, in a space designed with blush terrazzo, plush seating, custom artwork, and stunning light fixtures.

“As we continue joining communities across the Midwest, the suburban city of Troy felt like the perfect choice for our next location” co-founder Gorjana Reidel said. “Known for its liveliness and rich culture, we could not be more excited to plant our Laguna Beach roots in Michigan just in time for summer.”

Founded in California in 2004, Gorjana, who offers expert advice with their in-store stylists, has donated over $2 million to nonprofit organizations through its annual partnerships with The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, Baby2Baby, Toys for Tots, Dress for Success, and more. Local Troy and greater Detroit area nonprofit organizations are encouraged to complete a donation request form in order to connect with Gorjana’s donation and charity efforts.
