When it comes to helping children build healthy smiles and positive dental experiences, Dr. Madison Fantin combines advanced clinical training with a warm, approachable personality that immediately puts young patients and their families at ease.

A native of Amherstburg, Ontario, Canada, Dr. Fantin’s educational journey reflects her commitment to excellence. After completing her undergraduate studies at the University of Windsor, she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Detroit Mercy.

Driven by a passion for serving children and advancing her expertise, she continued her education at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, where she completed specialized training in pediatric dentistry.

During her residency, Dr. Fantin conducted research focused on children born with cleft lip and palate, contributing to advancements in care for this unique patient population. Her dedication to research and patient-centered treatment earned her a Master of Science degree in Dentistry, further strengthening her ability to provide comprehensive, evidence-based care.

Today, Dr. Fantin brings that same commitment to excellence to every patient she treats. She understands that early dental experiences can shape a child’s perception of oral healthcare for a lifetime, and she strives to create an environment where children feel comfortable, confident, and excited about taking care of their smiles.

Outside the office, Dr. Fantin’s adventurous spirit shines through. A lifelong athlete, she was a member of the U.S.A. Junior Olympic Gymnastics Team, an experience that instilled discipline, determination, and a drive for continuous improvement. She is also passionate about motorcycle road racing and has competed throughout Ontario on her Yamaha R3, embracing the precision, focus, and confidence required both on the track and in the dental operatory.

Whether she is helping a young child overcome dental anxiety, guiding parents through treatment options, or advancing her knowledge through continued learning, Dr. Fantin is dedicated to making a positive impact on every family she serves. Her unique blend of advanced training, compassionate care, and dynamic personal experiences makes her an invaluable member of the Golnick Pediatric Dentistry team and a trusted partner in children’s oral health.

At Golnick Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Fantin is proud to help children establish healthy habits, confident smiles, and positive dental experiences that last a lifetime.

    “Parents often say to me,

“Why pediatrics? You work so well with kids, it looks so natural how you interact with them, and so I’m curious what got you into this specialty.”

My answer since the day I applied to pediatric residency was that…. I coached gymnastics for many years. All different ages & abilities. If I was able to get a kid who is terrified to walk across a beam or do a cartwheel, might I remind you at this age their body seems to be unattached to their brain, and I can successfully teach them a physical and mental skill, I am very confident I have the skills to help a frightened child sit in the dental chair and furthermore, sit through dental treatment. This was my foundation of the pediatric dentist or “the pink tooth doctor” I am today.

I think my biggest contribution to this profession is giving kids the confidence to do something they are scared of. My goal is teach them the skills to navigate challenges not only at the dentist but elsewhere in life like at school or in sports. At the end of every appointment we have a positive pep talk so they feel accomplished and learn that we can do anything we set our mind to. With each visit, this feeling of bravery becomes more familiar and it shows in the many patients I treat who at first refuse to sit in the dental chair but with time, allow me to do any kind of treatment with a smile on their face. And this bravery they can take with them to their first day of school or their biggest soccer game.

One of our philosophies at Golnick Pediatric Dentistry is that the mouth is connected to the rest of the body and so we treat the patient as a whole, not only the mouth. I enjoy focusing on the mental aspect of this philosophy. I strive to impact more than oral health but the life and future of these kids also.”
