The Troy Traffic Jam, one of southeast Michigan’s most spectacular car shows, is right around the corner. On Sunday, August 3rd, from 9am to 3pm, the 17th annual show once again promises something for everyone at the corner Big Beaver and Livernois. This year’s new features will get your heart racing! The 2025 SPEED theme will bring more than 50 racecars from across all genres, plus your favorite classics, some rare antiques, and sharp new exotics. You won’t want to miss Tech Talks featuring race-to-road engineering and a racing panel discussion, the kids’ Pedal Power 200 race, or testing your skills behind the wheel of a race simulator. The Troy Traffic Jam starts an hour earlier this year, so you have plenty of time to see and do it all!
The Troy Traffic Jam has built a reputation for high-profile vehicles that have drawn the attention of car enthusiasts and media alike. With more than 200 cars already registered for this year’s show, you won’t want to miss a superbly restored 1935 Buick Open Wheel Race Car, the 1962 Ford Galaxy Drag Race Car that once belonged to John Vermeersch, one of only fifty 1963 Chrysler Turbine-powered cars, the 200+ mph 1988 Fabcar IMSA GTP Prototype raced at Lemans and Daytona, or Team Penske’s 2015 Dallara Indy 500 winning car. The show will also celebrate 70 years of the Ford Thunderbird with a lineup of 15 classics from local clubs.
Follow the Troy Traffic Jam on Facebook or Instagram to preview even more of the 2025 show lineup, and don’t miss it in person! Vehicles come from everyday owners, private collections, and local museums to create an exciting lineup of high-end exotics and attainable classics. Individuals interested in displaying their vehicle are welcome to register on the day of the event starting at 7am for $30. Registration supports the Troy Historic Village and gets you a parking space in a great lineup of cars, a swag bag from our sponsors, and a chance to win awards.

The Troy Traffic Jam is FREE to the public while it fuels education at the Troy Historic Village. Brought to you by Presenting Sponsor KIRCO, Proud Host Venue the Columbia Center, and a lineup of sponsors, all proceeds fund educational programs at Troy Historic Village that reach more than 24,000 people annually. Planning team co-chair and KIRCO Chairman Alan Kiriluk, says, “The support we have from the automotive community makes the Traffic Jam a special show for me. Each year some of the best cars (and car owners) come together to showcase their prized vehicles. We are delighted to support the Troy Historic Village because we know we’re helping to provide hands-on learning experiences for thousands of students.”
This year’s Tech Talks, sponsored by Gallagher Global Brokerage and Hagerty, will continue the speed theme with a look at race-to-road engineering. Corvette Chief Engineer Josh Holder will talk about how record-setting engineering impacts the ZR1, and Ford GTD Chief Program Engineer Greg Goodall and Design Manager Anthony Colard will talk about how Ford uses race engineering in the new GTD. Moderated by Autoline’s John McElroy, we’ll end with a racing panel featuring George Levy, Andrea Robertson, and Lynn Yenko Zoiopoulus. Tech Talks will begin at 11:00am, so there is plenty of time to see the field of cars before listening to this fantastic lineup of speakers.

Families have lots to enjoy at the Traffic Jam again this year! Grab a scavenger hunt or explore on your own. Some cars around the show are available for additional photo opportunities, and with permission you might be able to get behind the wheel of a few different vehicles. Stop by the robotics tent to see and drive the latest robots from Troy’s award-winning middle school and high school teams. Take a quick break from cars with free face paint from Sparkles the Clown and old time Village games on the lawn. Meet a real race car driver when INDYNXT series driver Nolan Allaer signs autographs from 11am to 1pm at the Faygo tent. At 1:30pm catch the Pedal Power 200 race sponsored by Nostalgic Motoring, Ltd. Returning for a third year, these races get kids behind the wheel of classic, homemade, and new pedal cars of all types. Older kids and grownups can try their skills behind the wheel of a race car simulator provided by Superlap and available in Columbia Center’s 201 lobby all day.
There are lots of opportunities to take something home from the Troy Traffic Jam this year! Event planners have expanded the Automotive Art selection so you can pick out the perfect piece from four top artists right at the heart of the event. Chat with and pick up a signed book from Dick Ruzzin or George Levy. You can pick up some Troy Traffic Jam merch, or enter to win amazing raffle prizes or the 50/50 cash pot in the Info Tent. Raffle prizes include 2 tickets to the Detroit Auto Show Charity Preview, original art by Em Beckman and Robert Matthews, gift cards and prizes from local restaurants and auto shops, and even a kid’s prize package. With so many things to see and do, DJ Chachi will keep a bounce in your step around the Troy Traffic Jam thanks to Entertainment Sponsor Horizon Bank. As the DJ of the Pistons and Red Wings, he knows how to keep the crowds rocking! Lunch, snacks, and ice cream will be available throughout the day around the show to keep your tank full!
