Metro Detroit’s restaurant and retail scene is booming with something new seemingly cropping up every week. This list will help keep you up-to-date on the latest additions to the local shopping and dining scene — be sure to check back often as we’ll be adding to it regularly.

Brine Oyster House

Chamberlain Hospitality — the group behind Red Crown, LeRouge Boulangerie, and Brick’s Pizzeria — are working on their third project: This 3,800-square-foot “tide-to-table” oyster house. Expect a raw board with “customizable sea-cuterie,” along with oyster shooters, entrees including steak & frites, fried chicken and othe sandwiches, burgers, and dessert. PetWellClinic

The newest location of this national veterinary medicine clinic is set to open in Royal Oak this summer. PetWellClinic operates on a walk-in only business model that promises your pet will never leave your side. The clinic will offer preventative care, treatments for minor health issues such as ear infection, and management of chronic health conditions such as arthritis; petwellclinic.com.

SHOP Sneaker Store

Local social media stars ConnorTV and The Drip Don are collaborating on the shared dream of opening a sneaker shop with this new Oakland County shop.

Fresh & Pressed Juice

The Rind Wine Bar

The founders of Mongers Provisions has announced the soft opening of the expansion inside of its current Berkley location. During the day, the new space will operate as extra seating and in the evening it will become The Rind neighborhood wine bar. The menu at this new spot will feature an evening menu that is “naturally anchored by cheese, charcuterie, and conservas,” along with a variety of small plates and a rotating wine of seasonal domestic and imported wines; mongersprovisions.com.

Mezcal Mexican Bar & Kitchen

The popular eatery opened it’s second location in the heart of Midtown in mid-July. The menu at the new space will include a wide variety of Mexican cuisine including tacos, quesadillas, tortas, and quesadillas, along with a dessert menu filled with decadent treats like flan, tres leches, and cheesecakes; mezcalmexicangrill.com.

Vitality Bowls

This “superfood café” specializes in acaí bowls, smoothies, salads, wraps, and other healthy options. This new location joins 130 other locations across the country, including one in Grand Rapids; vitalitybowls.com.

DonutNV

This mobile donut trailer will bring hot and fresh mini donuts along with seven flavors of refreshing lemonade to Metro Detroit; donutnv.com.

Breadless
