After years of anticipation, RH Detroit, The Gallery in Birmingham is officially open to shoppers.
At over 60,000 square feet, the building features four stories of high-end home décor displays. There’s also an interior design studio, as well as a rooftop bar and restaurant.
The building’s facade is made of brick imported from Italy, and the entrance features towering doors made from bronze and glass.
Levels one and two feature displays from the RH Interiors and RH Modern lines. Level three is where the RH Interior Design Studio is located, as well as displays featuring the RH Outdoor line.
Beige and gold color schemes and towering chandeliers characterize many of the rooms, which also include statement pieces like Roman sculpture-esque busts and other rare art items. Shoppers can preview modern couches, chairs, rugs, cabinets, and more — plus luxury linens, curtains, and fixtures.
On the top floor, the RH Rooftop Restaurant features skylight ceilings, a wine bar, a fountain, and indoor olive trees. The menu offers a selection of American and Mediterranean bites — seafood towers, steak frites, caviar carpaccios, and more. Also available is a selection of wines and champagnes sourced from the Napa Valley region.
RH Detroit, The Gallery in Birmingham Hours and Location Details
RH Detroit, The Gallery in Birmingham is located at 300 S Old Woodward Ave, Birmingham, across the street from the Daxton Hotel. Its hours of operation are Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The RH Rooftop Restaurant is open from Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., then 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.; and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Formerly known as Restoration Hardware, RH is an international chain based in Corte Madrea, California. Under the leadership of CEO Gary Friedman, the company has introduced numerous RH Galleries in major cities, including Paris, New York, Chicago, San Francisco, and West Palm Beach.
Friedman attended the store’s grand opening party, along with some of the biggest names in metro Detroit, at RH Detroit, The Gallery in Birmingham on Wednesday, Nov. 19. The event benefitted the Children’s Center.
