THE FACES OF NONPROFIT FUNDRAISING – NATIONAL KIDNEY FOUNDATION OF MICHIGAN
1169 OAK VALLEY DRIVE, ANN ARBOR, MI 48108 | 248-204-6550 | NKFM.ORG
When looking for passionate, driven people to lead the “most fun charity event in metro Detroit,” the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan (NKFM) ended up with the best. The three chairmen for the 2026 Kidney Ball are Patrick A. Rugiero of Roman Village Restaurant Group; John Magee, M.D., of the University of Michigan Transplant Center; and Loren Venegas of Ideal Group.
They each embody what it means to care about their community. Whether through work with patients, community leadership, or a personal connection to kidney disease, they commit significant time, energy, and dedication to raising funds for the programs and services of the NKFM.
The NKFM is a leading nonprofit dedicated to kidney health and is ranked in the top 1% of charities in the country. Its chairpeople truly live the NKFM’s mission to prevent kidney disease and improve the quality of life for those living with it.
