These fashion phenoms don’t follow trends; they bend them into origami swans and then wear them to diner. Here is one of the 11 metro Detroiters on Hour Detroit’s Best Dressed list, class of 2025, who were all shot on location at Detroit Foundation Hotel.
Getting to know the style of Randi Malalas
Fashion style: Always evolving. Currently, it’s a mix of modern and elevated casual.
The one piece in my closet I can’t live without: My white Alexander McQueen jacket. The tailoring is impeccable, and it can be worn dressed down with jeans or go full glam for a night out.
If my wardrobe had a theme song, it would be … “Woman” by Doja Cat. My wardrobe is very figure-focused and fiercely feminine.
Favorite places to shop locally: I’m a big online shopper, but when I go brick-and-mortar, Mary at Saks Fifth Avenue is my secret weapon.
Favorite designers/brands: My favorite designer is, of course, Alexander McQueen.
Style icon: Victoria Beckham. From her Posh era to the present, she has moved effortlessly with the times.
A look that always gets compliments: Leopard print is my power move.
Fashion advice: Fashion is storytelling; have fun with it. Weave your own signature into your look but always stay authentic to you. You’ll never please everyone, nor should you!
