Troy-based Jars Cannabis is unveiling a new docuseries for 4/20. Titled How I Roll, the series explores how cannabis impacts the lives of various creative and cultural figures while highlighting their marijuana preferences, techniques, and traditions. The first episode stars Yukmouth and Kuzzo Fly of the Oakland, California, rap duo Luniz.

“Historically, cannabis has been found to inspire and influence a number of creative professionals who are focused on interests of art, music, food, fashion, culture, sports, and tech,” says Stefanie Michels, marketing director for Jars, in a press release. “Jars is honored to have the opportunity to collaborate with the Luniz among other high-profile industry figures to share their compelling stories, idiosyncratic rituals, and untamed experiences when consuming cannabis.”

Other episodes of How I Roll will spotlight Detroit comedian and actor Comic J Will; hip-hop and rock duo Twiztid; Dave East, a rapper and actor who portrays Method Man in the Hulu original series Wu-Tang: An American Saga; and Ross Rebagliati, an Olympic Gold Medalist snowboarder who is now a cannabis entrepreneur.

Episode one premieres at 4:20 p.m. in Jars’ Michigan stores — the brand operates six locations in metro Detroit — and online. Future episodes will be released each month on Jars’ YouTube channel.

In addition to its docuseries debut, Jars is also hosting day-long 4/20 festivities at each of its stores. Events include on-site food trucks, vendor activations, promotions, giveaways of “It’s 4:20 Somewhere” T-shirts and wall clocks, and free 1g pre-rolls to 100 customers.
