Detroit continues to receive positive national attention with the latest shoutout coming via Travel + Leisure.
Over the weekend, the publication published a glowing feature on the city titled “I Live in the Midwest—This Is the Most Underrated City Everyone Should Visit Once.” Journalist Iona Brannon highlighted many of Detroit’s attractions, including neighborhoods, restaurants, hotels, nightlife, and much more.
Brannon notes, “Here, visitors will find a walkable downtown centered around a restored plaza and a meandering riverwalk. The city also has a rich arts and culture scene.”
In response to the piece, Claude Molinari, President & CEO of Visit Detroit, said, “We are appreciative of ‘Travel + Leisure’ for documenting what so many of us know so well – that Detroit is on an incredible trajectory, and our momentum has never been higher.”
“From music to sports to culinary to design to a rapidly growing riverfront and much more, Detroit has it all. Our region is deserving of the national attention it continues to receive, and we couldn’t be more excited about what lies ahead in the future.”
