As a pediatric dentist at Golnick Pediatric Dental Associates’ Bloomfield Hills location, Dr. Dina Tanbakuchi, DMD, is committed to helping children feel comfortable, confident, and cared for at every dental visit.
When it comes to caring for children’s smiles, few things matter more than trust—between a young patient, their parents, and the dentist guiding them through some of their earliest healthcare experiences. For Dr. Dina, building that trust is at the heart of everything she does.
A Michigan native who grew up in Novi, Dr. Dina brings an exceptional combination of local roots, advanced training, and genuine warmth to the Bloomfield Hills practice. Her patients and their families quickly discover that she is not only an expert in pediatric dentistry, but also someone who truly connects with the children in her care.
A Global Perspective, A Local Heart
Dr. Dina’s path to pediatric dentistry reflects both her curiosity about the world and her commitment to excellence. Fluent in four languages – German, Persian, Spanish, and English—she can communicate with a diverse range of families throughout Metro Detroit. Her multilingual background helps children and parents feel understood, informed, and more at ease during appointments.
Her academic journey began at the University of Arizona, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Physiology. She then pursued her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the Missouri School of Dentistry and Oral Health. Driven by her passion for working with young patients, Dr. Dina completed specialized training in pediatric dentistry at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan, one of the region’s most respected institutions for children’s healthcare.
That specialized education prepared Dr. Dina to address the distinct dental needs of children at every stage of development, from a toddler’s first visit through the teenage years. Pediatric dentists complete additional training focused on the physical, emotional, and developmental needs of children, and Dr. Dina brings that expertise to every appointment at Golnick Pediatric Dental Associates.
Making Every Visit a Positive Experience
Dr. Dina believes that going to the dentist should never be something children dread. At the Bloomfield Hills office, she works to create a welcoming and calming environment where young patients feel comfortable, heard, and supported.
By meeting children at their level and explaining treatments in age-appropriate ways, Dr. Dina helps take the fear and uncertainty out of dental care. Her patient-centered approach allows children to develop confidence during their appointments while establishing healthy habits and positive associations that can last a lifetime.
For parents, her approach provides valuable peace of mind. Knowing their child is being cared for by a compassionate, highly trained specialist who genuinely enjoys working with children can make all the difference.
Beyond the Dental Chair
When she is not caring for patients, Dr. Dina enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She is also a devoted cat parent to two feline companions. An enthusiastic traveler and hiker, she brings a natural sense of curiosity, adventure, and openness to her life and her work. She is also an avid soccer fan – a passion that often gives her another way to connect with her sports-loving patients.
