25th Annual Classical Roots Celebration

The 25th Annual Classical Roots Celebration took place on March 7 at the William Davidson Atrium inside the Max M. & Marjorie S. Fisher Music Center in downtown Detroit. The event served as a pre-party for the 48th Annual Classical Roots Concert at Orchestra Hall. Both events served to honor and raise awareness of the African American composers and musicians that have made significant contributions to classical music. Attendees of the Classical Roots Celebration enjoyed passed champagne and a seated dinner before the Classical Roots Concert.
