William Clay Ford Field Debut Opening

On June 16, UAW-Ford unveiled the newly renovated William Clay Ford Field community ballpark in Detroit. UAW-Ford donated nearly $2 million to refurbish the field for residents of Detroit’s Midtown, Woodbridge and surrounding communities, and dedicated it to William Clay Ford Sr. His son, Bill Ford, executive chairman of Ford Motor Company, accepted the honor on behalf of the Ford family.
