Bedrock’s Decked Out Detroit initiative is bringing back festive events and experiences to downtown Detroit. The Downtown Detroit Markets and Cadillac Lodge return to Cadillac Square on Nov. 10, and other activities and promotions will also be presented in the coming months.
Nearly 20 vendors will be participating in this year’s Downtown Detroit Markets. Detroit Hustles Harder, Kept Jewelry, Little High Flyers, Post by Mutual Adoration, The Vintage Wick, Good Cakes and Bakes, Ferosh the Label, and Three Dogs 1 Cat are among the vendors featured in the pop-up shop experience.
Meanwhile, in the nearby open-air Cadillac Lodge, visitors can enjoy family-friendly entertainment — including trivia nights, magician appearances, and more — and tasty treats such as homemade soup, charcuterie boxes by Thyme & Honey, cinnamon donuts, and lemonade and create-your-own hot chocolate or coffee from Bea’s.
“We could not be more thrilled to take over the Cadillac Lodge concessions this year. We’ll be bringing our unique Choose Your Own Adventure concept from our Eastern Market location while adding some holiday twists to make every drink festive and fun,” says Beatrice Wolnerman, owner of Bea’s Detroit and Bea’s Squeeze, in a press release. “We are honored to have been chosen for this opportunity and truly can’t wait for the Downtown Detroit Markets to open.”
Decked Out Detroit, which was launched last year to bring memorable experience to the city’s downtown area, will also present 1001 Winter Wonders, a North Pole-themed experience at 1001 Woodward Ave. that will give little ones the chance to send a postcard to Santa. The activation will open on Nov. 20 and run through Jan. 30.
Decked Out Shopping Days, a partnership between Bedrock and 25 local retailers, takes place from Nov. 17 through Dec. 24. Participating retailers will host deals, giveaways, live music, and more. Decked Out Detroit is also launching Text the Halls, which locals can sign up for to receive text alerts about special promotions at downtown businesses.
