She’s everything, he’s just Ken, and you can bring the Ken to your Barbie to Downtown Detroit this Thursday for a Barbie party!
Warner Bros. Pictures and Downtown Detroit Partnership have partnered to bring a free beach-themed bash to celebrate the release of the new movie. The Barbie Beach Party will be held at Campus Martius Park on July 13, 2023, from 4-9 p.m. and is expected to turn the area into a Barbie Dreamland.
Guests are invited to deck themselves out in everything pink and dress up as their favorite Barbie for a shot at VIP tickets to an advanced screening of this long-awaited movie. Those who attend can also snap a picture with a life-size Barbie box, and giveaways will be handed out to celebrate the Barbie-filled party.
Sip on a “Pink Dream” cocktail, which will feature coconut rum, orange juice, cranberry juice, pineapple juice and grenadine with a sugar rim, topped with a cherry and pineapple juice. It will be beachside at BrisaBar.
In addition, cotton candy will be hand-spun by Spun Sugar Detroit to celebrate this pink-licious event. Plus, live music by Detroit-based DJ Thornstryker and Mami Wata will be playing.
The highly anticipated Barbie movie will be released on July 21. Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, Will Ferrell, and Issa Rae are starring in the movie, which was directed by Greta Gerwig.

Barbie Beach Party is part of Downtown Detroit Partnership’s summer Beach Party series and will be held at Campus Martius Park, 800 Woodward Ave, Detroit on July 13 from 4-9 p.m. There is no cost for admission.
