Breast cancer is the second leading cause of death in women, but the Dynami Foundation is working to change that with their annual Uncork for a Cure event, which is coming to the M1 Concourse in Pontiac on Oct. 22, 2022.
Known as “Metro Detroit’s premier breast cancer fundraiser and soiree, this 7th annual event raises funds for breast cancer research, education, and patient support.
This year’s event will feature a wide variety of world-class wines, which are hand-paired and curated by the “first woman of wine,” Master Sommelier Madeline Triffon of Plum Market, alongside delicious food made by award-winning chefs including the culinary talents from four new restaurant additions: Bar Pigalle, Basan, Barada, and Oak & Reel.
These restaurants join the ranks of returning eateries, Mabel Gray, Chartreuse, Freya, SheWolf, Grey Ghost, Marrow, Karl’s, Rebecca Lamalfa, Motor City Seafood, Cantoro Italian Market, and many others.
In addition to the food and wine, guests of this event will enjoy live music, art installations, live and silent auctions, and track rides hosted by Cauley Ferrari.
To date, Uncork for a Cure has raised over $1,000,000 to advance the fight against breast cancer, in particular Lobular breast cancer, only receives 1 percent of research funding despite accounting for 15 percent of all breast cancers.
