The Lowry Estate, a vintage and resale boutique in Farmington Hills, is launching a new children’s collection. Little Ladies in Lowry will feature a selection of gently worn designer and vintage dresses, knits, and all-season items for toddlers to 13 years old. Debuting July 9, the collection will be available primarily online as well as in store.

All items in the collection are curated by The Lowry Estate owner, Corliss Elizabeth Williams, and her six-year-old daughter, Amelia “Emi” Elizabeth Williams Olu. Williams says she trusts her young daughter’s eye for products; Emi has tagged along with her mother on shopping trips for the boutique since before she could talk.

“One of [Emi’s] many great qualities is that she’s so opinionated,” Williams says. “Whenever I go shopping with Emi and we have a big cart of something, and I’m on the fence about something or I want to buy the whole store, she’s really good at helping me make edits. She’ll just be like, ‘Yes, mommy,’ ‘No, mommy,’ ‘Oh my God, definitely, mommy.’”

Little Ladies in Lowry is inspired by community and the act of passing down special items between family, friends, and loved ones. The collection will include items belonging to Emi that she chose to part ways with — such as a dress from the European children’s brand Peppermint Kids that was gifted to her by a family friend before they moved to Paris — as well as clothing donated by friends and other items sourced by the mother-daughter duo while thrift shopping. Unisex and gender-inclusive pieces will also be available.

“A majority of [Emi’s] wardrobe that she has come from family friends,” Williams says. “So, it was just kind of this chain of keeping the history going and the clothes going. She loves nothing more than when she outgrows something to pass it along to a friend of hers. And also, just getting pieces from her friends, too.”

Prices for items in the Little Ladies in Lowry collection range from $5 to $30. To celebrate the launch, The Lowry Estate is hosting a Garden Party from noon to 4 p.m. on July 9 at the boutique, during which folks can shop the collection. A lemonade stand offering both children and adult beverages will be set up at the event, with 10 percent of proceeds going to Source of Universal Love (SOUL), a Farmington Hills-based nonprofit organization and resale shop. The following day, people can check out The Lowry Estate’s booth at Eastern Market from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Williams aims to make Little Ladies in Lowry an ongoing collection, with drops connected to holidays and other special events. Through this collection, she hopes to connect with other local parents and provide special items at her shop that they can get for their own children. “Lowry connects women,” she says of her boutique. “And I would say that Little Ladies in Lowry will most definitely connect and attract the fierce little girls out there.”
