Detroit Burger Week is almost upon us! Taking place July 13-19, several of metro Detroit’s most popular restaurants are offering up special burgers between $7-$10. The event also has an interactive element that gives participants a chance to win some impressive prizes.

For those excited for Detroit Burger Week, here are five things you must know before dining.

1. Download the Detroit Burger Week App

The official Detroit Burger Week app can be found in Apple’s App Store and via Google Play. In the app, you’ll find the list of participating restaurants, which burgers they’re serving, and their corresponding prices.

2. Don’t Forget to Check in on the App

Participants who order a Detroit Burger Week burger need to check in on the app while dining. Those who check in at five restaurants will be entered to win the grand prize of $250 in gift cards and various swag items.

3. Some participating restaurants also provide take-out options

Every burger available can be ordered when you dine-in at a participating location. However, four restaurants — Brome Modern Eatery and its five location, Brown Iron Brewhouse in Royal Oak and Washington Township, Chaos Burger in Detroit, and Oak House Deli in Royal Oak — are also offering the chance to check in if you’re picking up a take-out order.

4. Burgers will be available in limited quantities

Special Detroit Burger Week burgers are available on a first come, first served basis, so there is a chance a restaurant might run out of their specialty burgers. Please keep this in mind and be polite to the staff. After all, you can always return to a restaurant and try again or stay and order something different. Plus, restaurants are encouraged to share wait times and how many burgers they have remaining on their social media channels, so keep an eye on social media for updates

5. Please Tip Well

There’s a good chance restaurant staff will be extra busy during this time. Considering these burgers are being offered at a discount, we recommend tipping at least 20% on your order. Please be kind, patient, and treat others the way you would like to be treated.
