// MISSION

Zaman is committed to facilitating change and advancing the lives of marginalized women and children by enabling
them to meet essential needs common to all humankind.

// KEY SERVICES PROVIDED

Zaman International accomplishes its mission through a holistic client-at-the-core strategy, meeting women living in poverty where they are in life and offering individually tailored pathways to employment and sustainable financial independence. Zaman’s programs and services, based on the needs of underserved populations, fall into two broad categories: basic needs and workforce development. Zaman provides basic needs services through its case management program, Bayt Al-Zahra (BAZ), in the form of food, clothing, essential home goods, counseling, supplemental healthcare, and emergency financial assistance preventing eviction and utility shutoff. The Building Ongoing Opportunities Through Skills Training (BOOST) program provides workforce development services, including ESL literacy classes, entrepreneurship training, career development, and vocational training and apprenticeships in garment sewing, industrial sewing, culinary arts, and baking.
