Detroiters looking for quality workwear have another retail option to shop in the city as Carhartt, which is headquartered in Dearborn, announced that a new pop-up retail location will open in Midtown today.
The new shop, which is located in Unit 6 of 441 W. Canfield St., is the second company-owned location in the Motor City and opened to give shoppers more easy access to the brand as ongoing construction continues near the company’s flagship store.
“With the road construction projects taking place near the Carhartt flagship store on Cass Avenue, we wanted to provide another access point for our customers, especially as we approach the holiday season,” Chad Cornstubble, the senior vice president of direct-to consumer at Carhartt, said in a press release.
“Canfield Street is an ideal location for the pop-up — at the center of a historic, bustling district and surrounded by some of the city’s best retail shops and restaurants — a perfect location for the hardworking people of Detroit to find the gear they need to create their own histories, both on and off the job.”
Occupying approximately 3,100 square feet and two stories, the store will feature an assortment of Carhartt’s “iconic styles and innovative technology in a select assortment of offerings to coincide with cold weather and the holiday season.” This includes outwear, footwear, accessories, and holiday stocking stuffers.
The pop-up opened on Monday, Nov. 6, 2023, and will be open 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Saturday, and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on Sunday. The flagship location is located at 5800 Cass Ave. and will be open for holiday shoppers 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Saturday, and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on Sunday.
Of the new shop, Cornstubble added: “Detroit has been Carhartt’s home for more than 130 years and we’re thrilled to provide the hardworking people of the Motor City with another option to find our durable and functional workwear.”
