Cartier Opens New Boutique in Somerset Collection

The new location features interior design inspiration from Detroit’s Art Deco architecture and will have a focus on eyewear

Cartier opened a new boutique in Somerset Collection in Troy on Saturday (Jan. 17). It is the only stand-alone Cartier boutique in the state of Michigan.

While there is a Cartier retailer inside Tapper’s in the north side of Somerset Collection, the stand-alone boutique is located in the south side on level one just outside of Saks Fifth Avenue.

Also known as Cartier Troy, this boutique is designed with special touches nodding to the Art Deco architecture present in Detroit. This Art Deco design is also a nod to the luxury brand’s popular La Maison collection. Containing floor-to-ceiling exterior windows, the interior and exterior of the boutique is adorned with gold accents.

Items Featured at Cartier in Somerset Collection

Cartier said via a press release that its complete range of Maison’s items will be available at Cartier Troy. Among these items are jewelry pieces, watches, leather goods, accessories, and fragrances.

One of the key focuses of the boutique is on eyewear, which is important considering the place “Buffs” have in Detroit style and fashion. Cartier noted the boutique will feature “a dedicated section that pays homage to Detroit’s deep connection with the category including the Première de Cartier and Décor C de Cartier collections.”

The Cartier Troy boutique is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m.-6 p.m. Hour Detroit is the first outlet to receive photos of this new Cartier location. Continue scrolling for a peak inside of the stunning new boutique.
