One year after opening its doors inside the One Campus Martius Building in the heart of
Downtown Detroit, Adelina celebrated its first anniversary with the same refined style
and elevated energy that has defined its rise. The June 6th celebration was more than just
a milestone – it was a reflection of everything that makes Adelina a destination for
Italian-Mediterranean dining and swanky, unforgettable nights.
From the moment guests arrived, they were greeted by hosts with glasses of Moët
champagne and the warm hospitality that has become a signature of the Adelina
experience. Inside, the restaurant was alive with movement from staff presenting
signature cocktails with flair, the buzz of laughter and conversation, to a live saxophone
player weaving modern covers into the soundtrack of the night.
Executive Chef Marco Dalla Fontana curated a series of elegant one-bite amuse bouche
creations, served throughout the evening to complement the flow of conversation and
cocktails. Each guest began with an Arancini made from piccolini risotto and finished
with a pesto tomato velouté. For the second bite, guests received a chef’s choice: a pan seared mini crab cake atop corn purée, a beef tenderloin skewer with fresh pepper,
tomato, herb concassé and tzatziki, or a watercress and ricotta ravioli topped with brown
butter sage sauce and parmesan. The final bite was a dark chocolate–dusted milk
chocolate truffle – a decadent, smooth, and satisfying end to the culinary experience.
The bar programming was a spectacle in itself. Adelina’s Espresso Martini, a house
favorite, was served through an ice luge for a dramatic presentation, while the signature
Smoked Old Fashioned was prepared tableside, cloaking nearby tables in aromatic clouds
of cedar smoke. The evening also marked the debut of Adelina’s new Martini Tray
presentation – a tableside experience where servers pour a chilled carafe into the guest’s
glass and finish with a fresh vermouth spritz. Elegant, theatrical, and entirely Adelina.
Hosted for a mix of VIP invitees and loyal guests, the evening offered a chance to
celebrate the community that has supported Adelina’s vision since day one. The indoor
dining room and patio both served as stages for the experience, with guests mingling over
drinks, music, and elegant bites under warm June skies. Each guest left with a gift bag
that included Adelina’s custom house seasoning blend, an edible reminder of the
evening’s sophistication and spice.
In just one year, Adelina has established itself not only as a culinary leader in Detroit but
as a vibrant place to celebrate, connect, and indulge. From indulgent dishes and elevated
cocktails to impeccable service and atmospheric flair, every night at Adelina feels like an
occasion.
That reputation has earned accolades. In the same week, Adelina was honored with Best
Appetizers in HOUR Detroit’s 2025 “Best of Detroit” issue. The restaurant will be
featured in the VIP Crystal Ballroom at this year’s Best of Detroit Party – yet another
opportunity to showcase the culinary creativity and hospitality that define the Adelina
experience.
“The anniversary party was everything we hoped for: elevated, fun, and full of the
energy we’ve worked hard to cultivate over the past year,” says Randy Dickow, co-owner
of Adelina and Director of Culinary Operations at Cicero Hospitality Group. “It was a
thank you to our guests and a glimpse of what’s ahead.”
That future includes a series of Adelina-hosted events, from seasonal wine dinners to
immersive cocktail experiences, each designed to surprise and delight. As the restaurant
