Whether you’re looking for a quick, mid-afternoon pick-me-up or a new out-of-office spot, these metro Detroit coffee shops are complete with comfortable interiors and delicious menus that will get you through fall. New Order Coffee Roasters

Aiming to “delight and energize metro Detroit,” New Order sells its packaged coffee beans, that feature names like “Like a Virgin Decaf” and “Soft Shock.” The shop, which has plans to open locations in Ferndale and Royal Oak, also sell themed lattes like a S’mores flavor, Naughty Nog Latte, and Heartbreak Mocha. Stella Good Coffee

Located inside the Fisher building, Stella Good Coffee offers up Michigan roasted beans and an array of hand painted water bottles and unique mugs. This coffee shop is only on open on weekends, but it’s worth the wait. They have an extensive tea menu including a Mandarin Orange Spice Tea and a Lemon Zinger herbal blend as well as Michigan ground coffee drinks and lattes. Atomic Coffee

It may be difficult to find a seat at Atomic Coffee on the weekends, but the buzz around this Royal Oak shop is well deserved. Atomic Coffee boasts an array of seating options — including cushioned spots near a fireplace — and it roasts its own coffee beans each week. SPKR BOX

Formerly Urban Bean Co., owner Josh Greenwood rebranded his popular Capitol Park coffee shop to SPKR BOX in 2022. The rebranded came when Urban Bean Co. was forced to close during the coronavirus pandemic. With the rebranding, Greenwood obtained a liquor license.
