With Halloween right around the corner, many metro Detroit bars are preparing by hosting pop-ups centered around the holiday. Here are some to check out:

Oakland County

The Oakland

Located in Ferndale, The Oakland will host a pop-up featuring Halloween-themed decorations, drinks, collectibles, and more. Halloweiss at Weiss Distilling Company

Spookeasy at The Royal Park Hotel

Rochester’s Royal Park Hotel is hosting a plethora of Halloween events. A collaboration with Suntory Global Spirits brings the Spookeasy, featuring themed drinks like the Poltergeist Potion, Blood Moon Margarita, and Boo Berry Brew. Haunted House of Film at Side Hustle Lounge

Detroit’s Side Hustle Lounge will host this horror-film themed event throughout the month of October. With decorations inspired by movies like Psycho, The Shining, and Halloween, Side Hustle will also play classic horror films on Tuesdays. The limited-time menu will include creepy cocktails like The Bloody Margarita, Purple People Eater, Monsters, Inc., and Hocus Pocus. Black Lagoon at The Skip

For the month of October, The Skip in downtown Detroit is one of over 30 locations across the U.S. for the popular Black Lagoon cocktail pop-up. Starting off as a one-night pop-up in Toronto, Black Lagoon has since become a coveted event throughout North America. Now through Nov. 1. 1234 The Belt, Detroit; theskipdetroit.com.

Secret bars at Hush Haunted Attraction

Westland’s Hush Haunted Attractions features three secret bars, each with its own distinct horror theme. Whether you’re at the Starlet Lounge, Camp Slaughter, or the Showman’s Midnight Review, there are plenty of scares to be had at Hush. Ghost Bar at Host Utica

For the last two weeks of October, Host Utica is transforming its bar into a creepy, candle-lit libation destination.
