How has your style evolved over the years?
It has evolved a lot, but one thing hasn’t changed: I love getting dressed. I love playing with different looks, but I always find my way back to what feels most like me.
Who is your favorite designer or brand?
Yohji Yamamoto, Pierpaolo Piccioli, and Donatella Versace are all designers I love for very different reasons. I’m drawn to a strong point of view.
Where do you shop?
Caruso Caruso has been my go-to since I was young. I’ll also find unisex pieces at Tender that I can incorporate into my looks. I grew up in mall culture, so a little Somerset excursion can still be fun. I also love an online order and dressing up in front of the mirror to plan future looks.
What do you think your closet says about you?
That I’m organized and somewhat minimalist. I like things to have their place, and I’d rather have a few things I really love than a closet full of things I never wear. Although, ask me again after a good shopping day.
What’s your thought process when putting together an outfit?
What’s the weather? Am I going to be comfortable? What are the vibes? And honestly, do I want attention?
If you could raid anyone’s closet, whose would it be?
Probably ’90s Johnny Depp. There was something about the way he dressed that felt completely effortless: slightly undone, a little rebellious, and never like he was trying too hard. Although Cristiano Ronaldo’s early-2000s closet would definitely be fun, too.
What item in your wardrobe has the most sentimental value and why?
An engraved dog tag necklace a friend gave me when I lost my brother, George, to brain cancer 10 years ago. I wear it often to think about him. He would have loved that I wear it.
