It was a record-breaking year for Fash Bash, an annual fundraiser for the Detroit Institute of Arts hosted by the DIA’s Founders Junior Council. More than 650 guests took in sumptuously styled looks during the Neiman Marcus Art of Fashion runway show before taking their own polished ensembles for a turn on the dance floor at the after-party.

The evening before the event, Hour Detroit spoke with fashion director Chloe King and assistant vice president Bruce Pask from Neiman Marcus about Fash Bash and the long-standing partnership between Neiman Marcus and the DIA.

“Iconic design houses and independent talent all over the world –– from Dior to Loewe, Gabriela Hearst to Carolina Herrera –– have chosen museums as the most elegant and dynamic atmospheres to present their collections,” King said. “We hope attendees leave feeling inspired not only by what they saw but by the unequivocal importance of art in creating connection and expanding our worldview.”

Pask added, “Fashion, like art, is a visual language incorporating color, shape, and texture, and this connection has been integral to the Neiman Marcus heritage. Fash Bash is a natural extension of this history, inspiring deeper and more satisfying explorations in style and encouraging bolder fashion choices while also supporting the vital and vibrant local arts community.”

Here are our picks for the top looks from the runway, cocktail reception, and after-party.
