Dec. 20 marks National Sangria Day, and Central Kitchen + Bar is celebrating with a tasty drink. The Detroit restaurant is serving up its Cranberry Holiday Sangria on its outdoor patio as well as offering it as a carryout cocktail option. If you’d rather give it a go at home, bar manager Kristy Cook has you covered. Here, she shares the recipe for the festive cocktail.
How to Make Cranberry Holiday Sangria
Ingredients (makes 4 to 6 servings)
2 Tbsp. of honey/agave nectar/simple syrup
¼ cup of brandy
½ cup of cranberry juice
1 orange, sliced
2 limes, sliced
½ cup of whole frozen cranberries
2 sticks of cinnamon
2 bottles of your favorite red wine
1 cup of soda water
Rosemary sprigs for garnish
Directions
Cook recommends combining all the ingredients in one pitcher. Once combined, let the sangria sit for at least six hours. If you can, 24 hours is best. Then, it’s ready to drink. Cheers!
