The sophisticated Victor Saroki design disguises the dimensions of the space with a series of dining areas rather than one huge room and makes it much more comfortable. The culinary prowess of chef/proprietor Paul Grosz and the managerial skills of his friend and business partner John Kelly combine with the setting to make this strategically located Birmingham spot on the first floor of the Greenleaf Trust Building a major hit in the early going. The contemporary American menu, with just about everything made in-house, is divided between seafood and meat, including charcuterie, and is backed up by extensive wine, beer, and cocktail lists.
