1.) Rock City Eatery Nikita Sanches is known as the Pie Guy, but his new Midtown location adds another kind of pie to his arsenal. Inspired by the response his pizza recipes received when Sanches appeared on Restaurant Startup in 2015 with wife and business partner Jessica Imbronone Sanches, the chef and owner has created a brand-new menu. Restaurant Startup favorite the Middle Eastern — boasting date, harissa, lamb sausage, onion, goat cheese, parsley, and caramelized fennel — is on the menu, along with 10 other varieties.

3.) Pie-Sci The long-awaited former pop-up returns to Woodbridge in a brick-and-mortar location with a rotating menu. While their basic (“Elementary”) selections will remain the same, tasty “Graduate” or U of Pizza pies like the ICP — topped with cauliflower, feta, jalapenos, red onion, and a balsamic glaze —will switch each season. Specials the season before offer a glimpse into what’s coming next, such as a kimchi pie that piqued our interest last time we stopped by. The “pizza lab” also features gluten-free and vegan options.
