Michigan Wine Country Magazine

Get Travel Tips, Winemakers’ Picks in the Newest Michigan Wine Country Magazine

Michigan Wine Country is a must-have yearly magazine that delivers the scoop on what’s new in wine country. It’s Michigan’s official wine and touring guide, brought to you by the Michigan Grape and Wine Industry Council. Released in parallel with spring wine releases and April’s celebratory Michigan Wine Month, the magazine is chock full of information that guides your travel plans to more than 80 wineries around the state.

If you’re not already on the Michigan Wine Country mailing list, you can request a copy or view it online at michiganwines.com. (Take a brief reader survey on the website and you’ll be entered into a drawing to win one of three $100 gift certificates to Tabor Hill Winery and Restaurant in southwest Michigan.)

“Winemakers’ Top Picks” — one of our favorite features — is a handy, two-page list of wines the winemakers recommend. Use it to expand your repertoire and taste beyond your comfort zone. (You can’t go wrong with this list!) Handy, up-to-date regional maps guide you to Michigan’s ever-expanding wine country, while relevant articles like, “From Farm (and Vineyard) to Table” entice you with destinations and experiences throughout Michigan. For a regional roundup of winery updates, the “What’s New” feature captures the essence of each region’s exciting growth and evolving offerings, such as in-season cuisine and new wine releases to please every palate, ranging from very dry to fruity sweet.

The 2011 Michigan Wine Country magazine is a valuable resource that also features the 2010 Best of Class Michigan wine competition winners and major festivals and events. It also shares insight into varying journeys of winemakers inspired to bring you quality wines grown in our rich Michigan soils.
