THE MASTERS RESTAURANT
This replica of the clubhouse at Augusta National Golf Club, the home of the Masters tournament, is a high-ceilinged space awash in appropriate memorabilia with seating on the balcony and main floor. The menu is resolutely American, from broiled or char-grilled fish and seafood to prime rib of beef and lamb chops, with just a slight touch of Greek from owners Koula and Harry Andreopolous, who took over from the founder in 1993.

STEVE’S BACKROOM
The original Backroom was truly that. Its successor, on St. Clair Shores’ Nautical Mile, is considerably larger, with a Mediterranean-muraled dining room, a retail market, and a wood-paneled cocktail lounge. The extensive menu offers Lebanese staples from hummus and baba ghannouj to shish kabob and kafta and chicken and lamb shawarma — many available in half portions — as well as fresh pita pulled from the in-view oven.
